Emergency Shutdown Procedure

In the event of fire, call 999 and inform the Fire & Rescue Service that solar PV and battery storage are installed.
Step 1Switch OFF the AC isolator located adjacent to the inverter/battery equipment.
Step 2Switch OFF the PV/DC isolator.
Step 3Follow the manufacturer shutdown procedure for the inverter and battery.
Step 4Do not touch or open any equipment after shutdown. Wait at least 2–6 minutes, or the manufacturer stated discharge time, before any inspection. Any further work must only be carried out by a qualified electrician or approved service engineer.
