In the event of fire, call 999 and inform the Fire & Rescue Service that solar PV and battery storage are installed.

| Step 1 | Switch OFF the AC isolator located adjacent to the inverter/battery equipment. |
| Step 2 | Switch OFF the PV/DC isolator. |
| Step 3 | Follow the manufacturer shutdown procedure for the inverter and battery. |
| Step 4 | Do not touch or open any equipment after shutdown. Wait at least 2–6 minutes, or the manufacturer stated discharge time, before any inspection. Any further work must only be carried out by a qualified electrician or approved service engineer. |
